New things always come through Xiaomi and we cannot thank the phone maker enough for this. And not only that but because this company keeps its 100 with the price of their phones. When it comes to the display of Redmi Note 9s, Xiaomi has included a tiny DotDisplay (as they call it) for the first time ever on a Redmi Note device. The screen itself is a 6.67 inches, 107.4 cm2 IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. See, it has a 91% screen-to-body ratio for the ultimate immersive experience. There is more to add on to that. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and with a 450 nits type. brightness as advertised. The resolution here is 1080 x 2400 pixels.
48MP AI quad camera
Let us now talk cameras yes? Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has five cameras. Four on the back and a front-facing selfie camera lens within a DotDisplay. The main camera of Redmi Note 9S is a 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF. The other three are a 8 MP, f/2.2, 13mm (ultra-wide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm, 5 MP, f/2.4, (macro), 1.12µm and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth). The camera module has a fresh look and twists to it as you can see in the picture below. The key highlights of Redmi Note 9S’s camera are as follows. 8000 x 6000 ultra-high-resolution, Night mode for sharper photos with exquisite detail and support for 4K and video pro mode.
Facing you will always be the 8MP ultra-wide-angle selfie camera within a bigger world (the phone’s large display that is). If you are familiar with Samsung Galaxy A51 then you might as well tell where the inspiration was borrowed. Nevertheless, this selfie provides an almost 1.3 times wider view and increases the field of vision from 79° to 119°. Xiaomi says it is also capable of distortion correction.
5020mAh high-capacity battery
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has quite some heft to it. At 209 grams it relatively is a heavy phone. We speculate that its 8.8mm thickness was to allow for fitting its large 5020 mAh battery. This is because Redmi Note 9S measures 165.8 x 76.7 x 8.8 mm. This reminds us that this is a Splash-proof smartphone. But this is not to be confused with water-proof, kindly – thanks. Just as a footnote, Redmi Note 9S has a stunning aesthetic and an improved symmetrical design. It has a curved 3D back to which improves its grip whilst in the hand. But hey, the takeaway point here was the massive battery capacity. Redmi Note 9S supports 18W fast charge and comes equipped with a 22.5W fast charger in the box.
